Meet the Medical Director

James F. Lineback, MD FCCP

Dr. Lineback grew up near Chicago and graduated with a B.S. degree in chemistry from Illinois State University  in 1971, and received an M.S. degree in neuroanatomy in 1974 and an M.D. degree in 1977 from the University of Illinois.  He completed his internship and residency at the University of Southern California in 1981, and a Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of California, Irvine in 1983.

Dr. Lineback is board certified in internal, pulmonary, and anti-aging medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.  As a chest physician, he has been in private practice in southern California since 1983 specializing in emergency medicine, critical care, and internal/pulmonary medicine.  After many years of treating patients disabled with heart and lung disease, Dr. Lineback has developed a practice style and treatment philosophy that focuses on early intervention and preventive care. A thorough understanding of physiologic and essential lifestyle principles has enabled him to address many of the inadequacies of traditional medical care.  A multi-systems approach and an expertise in physiology have enabled him to help hundreds of patients live healthier, more productive, and most likely, longer lives.  Dr. Lineback has been a medical expert witness for over 25 years, consulting and testifying in personal injury, wrongful death, and medical malpractice cases, specializing in causation, catastrophic injury, and life expectancy. He has also been involved in the training of medical students, interns, and residents for over twenty years and is currently an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine for University of California Riverside Medical School, Department of Bio-Medical Sciences, where he teaches courses on the pathophysiology and mechanisms of disease.

As a physician, an educator, and an active member of the American College of Anti-Aging Medicine, Dr. Lineback is committed to the development of a new model of healthcare for the 21st century, designed to treat the causes rather than the symptoms of disease. The detection and reversal of the various disease processes responsible for disability and loss of function as we age is at the core of this rapidly emerging model.  Dr. Lineback spends “as much time as it takes” with his patients in guiding them to an optimal level of health and is a dedicated “coach” and role model.  He has been a swimmer, cyclist, and runner for many years and relaxes with fishing, boating, and spending time with friends and family.
